Redesigning City Support App

Recently I have come across the City Support app and thought about redesigning few screens.

What is City Support?

City Support is an app to get on-demand Home Services, Repair, Maintenance, etc.

As of now, I will redesign only two screens Home Screen and Time selection Screen.

Home Screen

My first thought was to change on the screen is to convey the message of safety to the user in this pandemic time. So I have made the horizontal cards list on the top where safety and other discounts or any other headlines will be updated daily.

The search button will be the most used function so I highlighted that with more elevating shadow and made more intuitive by giving a label of Try “Electrician”.

Only showing the popular services in a grid form which can simplify the UI and all services can be viewed by tapping on the arrow.

And highlight the safety measures while user scrolls to make sure they trust the services.

Time Selection Screen

Here the UI for selecting the services will be more intuitive if it shows a checkmark.

The main UX change is to redesign the time slots. Here it was confusing for users while selecting time. So, I have divided the time slots in Morning, Afternoon, and Evening which can be very easy to understand and more user-friendly.

Conclusion

I am still thinking about redesigning the other screens of the app and will update the article.
